I came across a quote today that really summed things up for me:
“Intelligent people learn from their mistakes and learn to realize when they made a mistake and the pattern. Everyone else becomes an analyst or an advisor.”
It hit home. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the areas in my businesses and family life where I want to do better. And I’ve realized that the best way to make real progress is to focus fully on those areas—not just talk or think about them.
That’s why I’m going to take a step back from this daily newsletter for a while. It’s time to put my energy into the doing, rather than just the planning. Don’t worry, the newsletter will return in some form—but for now, I need to focus on what matters most.
I hope this inspires you to take a hard look at where your time is best spent, too. Sometimes, we all need to shift gears to make real progress.
Speak soon,
Mark
